Hey, there!
Is this the most flattering picture in the entire multiverse of me? No. No, it is not. Is it true to form? Abso-fucking-lutely. This is me, standing in front of the cockpit door of the Millennium Falcon. I didn't know it at the time, but in mere minutes, I would actually be sitting in Han Solo's captain's chair and piloting my family through a daring intergalactic heist. I have zero problem admitting those brief moments were on one of the highlights of my life. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about me, then read below for a little more!
20 Questions
1. Favorite color?
If we're using the Crayola spectrum, then plum, midnight blue, and goldenrod.
2. Favorite food?
It's probably easier to pick something I don't like—eggplant and sushi.
3. Coffee or tea?
If I could have an IV drip of caffeine in any form, I would.
4. What is the most wonderful time of the year?
Contrary to popular opinion, it isn't Christmas. It is Thanksgiving.
5. Dogs or cats?
I love both, but my son is severely allergic to cats. We have a dog named Rusty.
6. Text or phone call?
Neither, but only because I really, really suck at texting. It's like watching a 90yo peck at a keyboard.
7. Favorite movie quote?
Either "Dumb fuckin' luck" from Grosse Pointe Blank or "When everyone's super, no one will be" from The Incredibles.
8. Are you a hugger?
Depends. If I know someone well, then definitely. I'm really not a fan of strangers touching me though. I even cringe while getting my hair or nails done!
9. Spring or summer?
FALL.
10. Top five turn-ons?
Kind eyes, sarcastic humor, intelligence, nice smile, good hair.
11. Top five turn-offs?
Bad teeth, weird feet, big ego (without anything to back it up), rude to service workers, annoying laugh.
12. Fondest memory?
Probably the day each of my children were born.
13. Worst memory?
Let's just say I'm glad I was a teen/in college before smartphones/social media.
14. How did you start writing?
When I was a kid, I used to draw pictures and make up stories to go with them. I first started writing actual stories via fan fiction.
15. How do you get ideas for your stories?
Mostly from real life, either events I see/read about or something random that happens. For example, the hero of Revenge Love—Jason—is based on someone I went to HS with. He had the same birthmark on his face, and the other students were merciless to him. I wanted him to have an HEA, even if only in fiction.
16. Random facts?
I have extra bones in my feet. That's pretty random.
17. What would you be if you weren't a writer?
Well, I'd still be a mom, which feels like a full-time job all by itself.
18. Favorite trope?
Tie between friends to lovers and secret baby.
19. Least favorite trope?
Dark romance. To each their own, but I just don't find dub-con/non-con romantic in the slightest.
20. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Bold of you to assume I'm ever going to grow up. Seriously though, I can't imagine ever not being a writer. Even if I'm retired on a beach in Mexico at some point in my life, I'll always be making up stories in my imagination.
